Sreeram Kannan is the founder and CEO of EigenLayer, a blockchain infrastructure startup based in Seattle. With a strong academic background, he holds a PhD in Information Theory from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to founding EigenLayer, he was a professor at the University of Washington, where he focused on research in blockchain technology and its applications. Sreeram is also the founder of Skate Chain, a universal application layer that enables applications to operate across thousands of blockchains, promoting interoperability. Under his leadership, EigenLayer has raised significant funding, including a $100 million Series B round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
