Symbiotic has raised $29 million in a Series A funding round to accelerate the development of its innovative Universal Staking framework, which aims to enable decentralized networks to bootstrap fully sovereign ecosystems. The funding will be utilized to expand the team and enhance the platform's capabilities, allowing any blockchain to be secured and any asset to be utilized, thereby powering insurance protocols and DeFi products. This funding round was led by prominent Web3-focused investment firms, including Polygon, Pantera Capital, StarkWare, Coinbase Ventures, and Aave, reflecting the growing interest in decentralized finance and staking solutions. The investment will also support the development of new features and integrations to further enhance the user experience and scalability of the platform. This round brings Symbiotic's total funding to $34.8 million, following a previous seed round of $5.8 million co-led by Paradigm.
